Restoration Project

In this time of need as never before we are appealing to you to help
us and the many who we serve. 

The women’s section is in desperate need of repair so that the
entrance is safe and accessible to all, including many elderly
congregants.  The construction entails much electrical work, which
must be done safely.  Full plumbing is also needed for the benefit of
all who enter our shul. 

The Tzemach Tzedek Shul is home to many.  The building was founded by the Tzemach Tzedek,
around 180 years ago.  More recently, when the Rebbe sent shluchim to Tsfat almost 50
years ago, their first directive was to rebuild and revamp the Tzemach
Tzedek’s Shul. 

The Tzemach Tzedek Shul supports both Hebrew and English community
members with classes, community support and more.

Among the most needed activities that the building provides are:

– assistance to Olim
– food assistance
– trauma assistance including arranging places for residents of highly
hit areas to stay during times of need, Heaven forfend
– early childhood daycare and school
– youth activities – hosting a youth club and referrals to educational programs
– classes for English speakers
– Kollel and seniors learning
– classes and trauma counseling/referrals for Tzfat residents

The Alter Rebbe tells us that giving Tzedakah in Eretz Yisroel brings done brochos (blessings) and salvation much for quickly than anywhere else, as discussed in Tanya (Igeres HaKodesh 8 and 14).
